Trees, Flowers and Shrubs
The bulk of what we will make up your garden design with are trees, flowers and shrubs. These beautiful things will be planted, in order to help them flourish. This will provide color and texture to your outdoor space. Tress can give you height, and something natural. Flowers will provide the pops of color to bring your landscape to life. Shrubs will act as the middle man, the thing that provides some green and holds everything else together. We can work with you to come up with a design that incorporates all of these elements, while also fitting your unique personality.
Trees Trees are one of the best things that you can have in your garden design. Trees are naturally beautiful, and they give a feeling of stoicism and elegance to any property. Because we live in California, the first type of tree that may come to your mind is the palm tree. While we are happy to plant palm trees for you, as part of your landscape design, these are not the only type of trees that grow, and flourish, in Southern California. While palm trees will certainly make your garden feel like California, other tree types may make it feel a bit more comfortable and homey. Flowers Flowers are the parts of your landscape design that will add the personality. Because flowers can come in all types, sizes, colors and shades, we can have a lot of fun with planting these. If you have specific flowers in mind, that you would like in your garden, please let us know so that we can get them for you. If you are open to suggestions, we know all of the different plant, and flower types, that will grow together, in harmony, and look great. We can aim for one color of flower, or change it up and have several colors represented in your yard. Shrubs Shrubs are small, or medium sized, woody plants. They are most closely related to trees, but they do not grow anywhere near as tall. For this reason, shrubs make excellent middle ground organics between colorful flowers, and very tall trees. Shrubs are often use to block off portions of your property, and can be used to build a kind of “living fence” between your property and the neighbor’s. Shrubs can grow rapidly, and wildly, and will need to be trimmed in order to maintain a uniform growth from them. Mixing The best, possible thing to do with your landscape design is to mix all three of these organic things together. If your property only had one of these things, it might get a little stale. To circumvent this, when we come in to design your landscape, we will always try and incorporate everything, together. However, the choice is always yours to make, and if there is something that you do not want in your yard, like a shrubbery for instance, we are perfectly happy to design around that. |
